Our drive through Daingerfield State Park

On our way home from Caddo state park we drove through Daingerfield state park.

Here is the unsupervised swimming area.

And one of the campsites

The big bathrooms
And one of the 4 cabins.

Here is part of the lake.
They have boating, fishing, swimming, hiking and nature study.

I don't know what this building is used for,
if it's used anymore, but I thought it was cool.

Our Weekend at Caddo Lake.

Here is the lighted fishing pier.
Two of my brothers fishing.

Mill Pond.

Teeny Toad :)

Brown dragonfly.
I saw some really pretty green dragonflys but, unfortunately, I didn't have my camera.

Spanish moss hanging from a bald cypress tree.

My awesome siblings on their way to the cabin.

It rained Saturday evening.

The best dog in the world. Meet Casey :)

Dad took Casey Kayaking in the rain.

Beware of the poison ivy! It's everywhere!
Look! It's a teeny tiny spider!
Casey took a nap on the way home.

Caddo State Park - Our Arrival

And the first on our list is Caddo Lake State Park.
Caddo Lake is in east Texas, the piney woods region.
Caddo Lake State Park entrance.
And here is our cabin.
Originally, It was a screened shelter but they upgraded it to a limited use cabin.

Fun Fact: Caddo Lake is the only natural lake in Texas!

Here is the porch.
And here are the beds. Very sturdy and hard to move.
There is one, very effective, air conditioning unit.
Our cabin had a table, chairs and tons of windows.
The only running water in this cabin is the water spigot outside.
There is a fire pit, grill, picnic table and a tent platform in the back.
And there are the bathrooms. The bathrooms nearest us did not have showers but there are some with showers down the road. There are tons of moths and spider in these bathrooms but their not gross and stinky, like some bathrooms.
At night there are tons of tree frogs.
